Letter #11

February 20, 2011

It’s not that we don’t get what  we want.

We get exactly what we’ve  always wanted.

The strong hunger  for weakness.

Strength is tiring, is constant effort

to build moats  and forts.  It stands at the walls heroic

but in between the strutting  vigilance , it  dreams

of being overwhelmed.

That is its secret vice.

The mind struggles to think what it thinks is right

the mouth opens to utter wisdoms

yet  the body  takes a different path.

You are a facade. You look for gold, yet you insist

on searching through the trash outside.

The mine is  many many miles away,

and uphill.

So the meek is proud in his meekness

the generous chooses

and the lovelorn have no love to give.
